Effective July 1, 2020 Yolobus Service to Reinstitute Fare Collection 06.12.20 12:27 pm

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, all Yolobus services will reinstitute fare collection for applicable riders and services. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times while riding and waiting for bus service, though customers will once again have the option to board through the front doors. UPDATE: Yolobus Service in Downtown Sacramento Suspended 06.01.20 3:59 pm

Due to large crowds, street and road closures, and heavy traffic congestion currently in downtown Sacramento, Yolobus will be suspending bus service into or out of downtown Sacramento/central business effectively immediately until the end of the service day, which is approximately midnight. Impacted Routes: •Route 42A •Route 42B •Route 40 •Route 240

No Service to Downtown Sacramento 05/31/2020 05.31.20 1:21 pm

Due to large crowds and heavy traffic congestion anticipated in the downtown Sacramento area this afternoon, Yolobus will be suspending service to downtown Sacramento bus stops beginning at 1:30 p.m. Route 42 A/B service will be available at the Merkley Transit Center in West Sacramento located at West Capitol and Merkley.

Causeway Connection Launches Monday, May 4, 2020 05.01.20 1:13 pm

Yolobus, in partnership with Sacramento Regional Transit and the University of California, Davis, will begin operating the Causeway Connection linking Davis and Sacramento on Monday, May 4, 2020!

Rider Alert Effective 4/27/2020 04.26.20 5:47 pm

Yolo County recently announced a new health order that requires wearing face coverings in public, including while riding public transportation. Riders are still required to stay at home as much as possible, limit trips to essential purposes only, and practice social distancing of at least 6 feet. For more information visit yolobus.com. Service Changes Effective April 20, 2020: In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation in Yolo County, Yolobus Services will implement additional reductions in service, while operating “Expanded Saturday” service levels during weekdays, and modified weekend service. COVID-19 Update: Rear Door Entry 04.01.20 2:38 pm

Yolobus is transitioning to fare-free rear door boarding effective immediately. Passengers requiring ADA ramps, utilizing mobility devices or need priority seating may continue to use the front door for boarding. Rear door boarding will be in effect until further notice. A gentle reminder to please limit your travels to only essential trips. Thank you and please stay safe!

Youth Ride Free on Yolobus! 09.01.19 10:09 am

Beginning September 1, 2019 kids can ride at no cost to school, the movies, recreational activities, after school programs or anywhere that Yolobus fixed route bus service and YOUR Ride (Knights Landing microtransit) travels. The free rides for youth pilot program is subject to available capacity of routes and schedules in effect. Youths will be expected to adhere to all passenger rules, and Yolobus is asking that High School and Middle School kids be prepared to show their school student ID if requested by the driver. A complete schedule to all Yolobus destinations and stops can be found at yolobus.com or by calling (530) 666-BUSS (2877).
