Travel to SMF on the 42

Yolobus provides bus service every 30-60 minutes, seven days a week, to the Sacramento International Airport on routes 42A and 42B.

The 42A runs in a clockwise loop through Woodland, West Sacramento, downtown Sacramento, and Davis. The 42B travels the same route in a counter-clockwise direction.

Frequency: Every 30-60 minutes, 7 days a week, from 5:00 AM until midnight

Where are the stops? The bus stops at both Terminal A and Terminal B, on the arrivals level

First Departure from SMF:

42A – 5:20 AM (Terminal A), 5:22 AM (Terminal B)

42B – 7:05 AM (Terminal A), 7:07 AM (Terminal B)

Last Departure from SMF:

42A – 10:36 PM (Terminal A), 10:38 PM (Terminal B)

42B – 11:43 PM (Terminal A), 11:46 PM (Terminal B)

Fares

Regular Yolobus intercity fares apply when taking the 42 to the Sacramento International Airport. A single ride on the 42 is $2.25 for a regular fare / $1.00 for senior/disabled. Youth 18 and under ride free!

Popular Stops

It’s easy to take Yolobus from the Sacramento International Airport to key destinations. Here’s your guide to a few of our riders’ favorite spots:

UC Davis: Take the 42B from the airport – the bus will drop you off at County Fair Mall, and you can catch the next 42B when it leaves from the same stop. Alternatively, you can take the 42A, which is a longer trip but has no transfer.

Sutter Health Park (see the A’s and RiverCats): Take the 42A from the airport and get off at Cabaldon Pkwy at Sutter Health Park.

Downtown Sacramento (for Old Sacramento, the Golden 1 Center, and the State Capitol): Take the 42A from the airport.
