Reroute | Street Closures 

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, there will be detours from 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM due to the City of Trees Mardi Gras parade and festival taking place in Downtown Sacramento on Capitol Mall.

During the specified days and times, the following bus routes will be rerouted:

• Route 40 – West Sacramento Local
• Route 240 – West Sacramento Local
• Route 42A – Intercity
• Route 42B – Intercity

The following bus stops will not be served for Routes 40 & 240:

• Capitol Mall at Front St. (EB/WB)
• N St. at 7^th
• 9^th at L St.
• Capitol Mall at 7^th

The following bus stops will not be served for Routes 42A & 42B:

• Capitol Mall at Front St. (EB/WB)
• 5^th at L St

The following bus stops will serve as temporary bus stops for Routes 42A/B:

• J St. at 4^th

The following bus stops will serve as temporary bus stops for Routes 40, 41, & 240:

• I St. at 8^th
• J St. at 4^th
• J St. at 6^th
• J St. at 8^th
• L St. at 9^th

Reroute | Street Closures

On Friday, February 27, 2026, Yolobus Routes 40, 41, 240, 43 PM, 44 PM, 230 PM, and 45PM operating in Downtown Sacramento will be rerouted from 5:00 PM to 11:59 PM due to the City of Trees Mardi Gras parade preparation on Capitol Mall. Only eastbound lanes on Capitol Mall from 5^th St. to 7^th St. will be closed.

During the specified days and times, the following bus routes will be rerouted:

• Route 40 – West Sacramento Local
• Route 41 – West Sacramento Local
• Route 240 – West Sacramento Local
• Route 43 PM – Davis/Sacramento
• Route 44 PM – Davis/Sacramento
• Route 230 PM – Davis/Sacramento
• Route 45 PM – Woodland/Sacramento

The following bus stops will not be served by Routes 40, 41, & 240:

• Capitol Mall at 7^th

The following bus stops will not be served by Routes 43PM, 44PM, and 230PM:

• 10^th at N St.
• Capitol Mall at 7^th
• 5^th at L St.

The following bus stops will not be served by Route 45PM:

• Capitol Mall at 7^th
• 5^th at L St.

The following bus stops will serve as temporary bus stops for Routes 40, 41, and 240:

• 5^th at N St.

The following bus stops will serve as temporary bus stops for Routes 43PM, 44PM, and 230PM:

• Tower Bridge at Gateway

The following bus stops will serve as temporary bus stops for Routes 45PM:

• L St. at 5^th

Reroute | Downtown Sacramento  Farmers Markets

Every Wednesday

From April 30, 2025, to October 29, 2025

Starting Wednesday, April 30, 2025, until Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Capitol Mall in Downtown Sacramento will be partially closed for the weekly Farmers Market.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through Capitol Mall will be rerouted every Wednesday from 08:30 AM until 02:00 PM. The following routes will be affected by the closure:

• Route 40, 41, & 240 – West Sacramento Local
• Detour Map 
  • This detour has no bus stop closures.
