ZipPass Is Being Phased Out
Important Announcement for Riders
For riders who currently purchase SacRT Daily Passes, Semi-Monthly Passes and Monthly Passes, this is a notice that SacRT is phasing out the ZipPass mobile app and moving to a new app called Transit Connect. The last day to add fare to your SacRT ZipPass is February 1, 2026. The last day to use your existing passes is April 30, 2026.
At this time only SacRT passes are being removed from the ZipPass store. You can add fare to your Yolobus ZipPass until March 31, and the last day to use your existing passes is April 30, 2026. We are also transferring to Transit Connect and will be sharing more information in the coming weeks. However, passengers who currently purchase SacRT passes and ride Yolobus will need to get those passes through Transit Connect going forward after February 1. Learn more here.

Riding with ZipPass is Easy!
Follow these simple steps:
- Launch the ZipPass app before you board.
- Select the pass you want to use from your Available Tickets by tapping on the pass and then tapping the Active button at the bottom. If you are using a pass you have already activated, go to the Active window, tap the pass you want to use, and then tap on Display.
- Once activated, show the fare screen to the bus operator.
- The operator will ask you to tap the screen in order to board the bus.
