Online Virtual Open House this week on the I-5 Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan 07.13.21 9:01 am

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 3 is looking for your input through our Virtual Open House! Caltrans District 3 is collaborating with local, regional, and federal partners to develop a Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP) for the Interstate 5 (I-5) corridor between the Sacramento/San Joaquin county line and I-5/State Route 16 interchange in Yolo County. A CMCP is a planning level analysis that evaluates the existing transportation conditions of the corridor and proposes mitigation measures to address factors such as congestion, safety, environmental, and multimodal transportation. The CMCP analyzes impacts to all modes of transportation based on future land use growth along the corridor. Modes of transportation analyzed in the CMCP includes passenger rail, freight rail, local and express bus routes, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

The Virtual Open House will take place between July 9th and July 16th during the dates and times listed below. Caltrans encourages members of the public to call in and ask questions regarding the I-5 CMCP. The website at www.I5CMCP.com will also have a link to a short survey. The purpose of the survey is to solicit your ideas and concerns about mobility along, across, and adjacent to the I-5 corridor. The survey will be available until Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Please come talk “live” with Caltrans staff, one caller at a time, to get answers to questions about planning along the I-5 corridor on these dates:
