NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED ELIMINATION OF OFF-PEAK QUICK TRIPS BETWEEN DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO, WEST SACRAMENTO, AND WOODLAND
At the 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 meeting, the Yolo County Transportation District (YCTD) Board of Directors will conduct a public hearing regarding proposed changes in the YOLOBUS service; specifically, the elimination of certain quick trips between downtown Sacramento, West Sacramento and Woodland in the morning and between Woodland and downtown Sacramento or West Sacramento in the afternoon. The hearing will take place at the Woodland City Council Chambers, second floor, 300 First Street, Woodland, CA 95695.
YCTD proposes to park certain peak hour buses in West Sacramento during the midday, after they are done running express service between Woodland and Davis and downtown Sacramento in the morning. Those buses would remain out of service until express service resumes in the afternoon peak period. Specific details on which trips will be affected are available at YCTD’s web site, www.yolobus.com.
Those wishing to provide input at the hearing are encouraged to attend. Those who cannot attend the public hearing may write to the District with suggestions and comments. The mailing address is: Yolo County Transportation District, 350 Industrial Way, Woodland, CA 95776 or by email to jphillips@yctd.org. Comments may be placed by phone at (530) 661-0816 extension 22.
